SD C04/C05 cleanups: fix C4 video page folds, clear reviewed DRAFT banners, trim Mood Boards Your turn
- C4 video page: wrap 11 single-line >| folds with a '### Answer' summary so answers hide until clicked (matches the working glossary pattern)
- Clear DRAFT banners on 7 reviewed pages (Mood Boards, Brainstorming, Mind Mapping, Design Sketches, C4-1 Checkpoint, Efficiency vs Effectiveness, Choose-then-Detail)
- Mood Boards 'Your turn' trimmed to finish-and-check (no longer repeats the pause-and-build)

## Your turn
-
1. Open **Excalidraw, Canva, or Obsidian**.
-
2. Write your project's **one feeling** at the top (the hardest and most important step).
-
3. Add at least **5 images**, **3 colours** (with their feeling), and **2 fonts**.
-
4. Add a few **keywords**.
-
5. Check every element against your one feeling — cut anything that doesn't fit.
-
6. Be ready to **explain your choices** — *why* this colour, this font, this image. That explanation is exactly what your C4-1 annotations need.
-
7. **Credit every asset.** Add a small *Credits* note on your board listing the **source, creator and licence** of each image, font or icon you didn't make yourself.
+
You've already built a first draft alongside the video. Now **finish and check it**:
+
+
1. Make sure it names your **one feeling** and includes at least **5 images**, **3 colours** (each with its feeling), **2 fonts**, and a few **keywords**.
+
2. **Coherence check:** test every element against that one feeling — cut anything that doesn't fit.
+
3. Be ready to **explain your choices** — *why* this colour, font, image. That's exactly what your C4-1 annotations need.
+
4. **Credit every asset** — add a *Credits* note with the source, creator and licence of each image, font or icon you didn't make yourself.
> [!IMPORTANT]
> **Crediting your assets is compulsory.** Every image, font or icon you didn't create yourself must be credited — *even free ones*. Record the title/source, the creator, and the licence (e.g. CC0, Unsplash, SIL OFL). Using an asset without credit is an academic-integrity breach, the same as using someone's words without a reference. See the **Credits** section at the bottom of this page for the format.

**⏸ Pause and predict**
- **1:50** — You've just heard the five artefacts (ideas list, mood board, brainstorm, mind map, annotated sketches). Predict: are these five copies of the same thing, or something else?
+
>| ### Answer
>| Five *different lenses on the same design problem* — not duplicates. Each tool views the one design from a different angle.
- **5:05** — A student has a strong design pack but pitches it vaguely. Predict the highest band they can reach.
+
>| ### Answer
>| A middle band only. "The pack sets the ceiling, but the pitch confirms the level" — you can't claim top marks for decisions you can't defend out loud.
**Check Your Understanding**
1. In one sentence, what's the difference between an annotation that *describes* and one that *justifies*?
+
>| ### Answer
>| Describing says how something looks or works; justifying names an alternative you rejected and gives the reason.
2. A student's pitch is fluent and confident, but their design pack is thin. Can they reach 9–10? Why or why not?
+
>| ### Answer
>| No. You can't defend artefacts that don't exist — the pack is the *floor* of the evidence, and the pitch only confirms the level the pack already supports.
3. Fill in the trade-off sentence shape examiners listen for: "I considered ___, I chose ___, because ___."
+
>| ### Answer
>| considered **X** / chose **Y** / because **Z** — naming the rejected alternative is what lifts a decision from *describe* to *justify*.

**⏸ Pause and predict**
- **2:46** — The narrator says a good matrix needs *both* columns. Predict: what do you miss if you score only effectiveness? Only efficiency?
+
>| ### Answer
>| Effectiveness-only: you don't know if the software actually *runs* well (speed, resource use). Efficiency-only: you ignore whether it actually works for the *humans* using it.
- **3:33** — "The design must be user-friendly." Predict how you'd turn this into something you could actually score.
+
>| ### Answer
>| Give it a measurable test — e.g. "a new user completes the core task in under 90 seconds, unassisted." If you can't point to what you'd look at, you can't measure it.
- **8:15** — A student explains why Design A scores well but never mentions Design B. Predict the highest band they can reach.
+
>| ### Answer
>| Capped at 8. To reach 9–10 you must *name the rival* — weigh the competing design and explicitly accept the trade-off.
**Check Your Understanding**
1. What three parts must every evaluation criterion contain?
+
>| ### Answer
>| A **name** (what's measured), a **link** (to a specific SRS requirement), and a **measure** (the concrete, testable way you'll check it).
2. Which column holds *speed of processing*, and which holds *usability*?
+
>| ### Answer
>| Speed of processing → **efficiency**. Usability → **effectiveness**. VCAA names **3** efficiency measures and **11** effectiveness measures. See [Efficiency vs Effectiveness](/sd/C04/Efficiency%20vs%20Effectiveness).
3. The matrix and the recommendation paragraph evidence different band ranges. Which is which?
+
>| ### Answer
>| Matrix = the **floor**, evidences bands 1–6. Recommendation paragraph = the **ceiling**, evidences bands 7–10. You need both.
